Jinu Thomas

Jinu joined Keane’s Unclaimed Property team as a reporting coordinator in September of 2012. As a member of the Consulting team, Jinu analyzes client-provided data and helps clients with their compliance reporting needs. He also provides direction and assistance for initial compliance filings, helps with Voluntary Disclosure Agreements, and performs unclaimed property risk assessments. Additionally, Jinu has established leadership within teams working on audit defense engagements.

As reporting coordinator, Jinu applied state dormancy periods and due diligence thresholds. While assisting clients with the initial compliance process, he prepared state-required forms and electronic reports for the final reporting stage.

Previously, Jinu served as the Financial Reporting Staff Accountant for Citco Fund Services. Throughout his tenure at Citco, he prepared financial statements for hedge funds that required compliance with the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. He also developed strong communication skills with both clients and auditors to ensure the appropriate disclosures were made.

While studying at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Jinu interned with Lincoln Financial Advisors, acting as a liaison with security, insurance, and pension companies to gather and update client financial information.

Jinu holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Temple University, and is a member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO).
