By the Keane Team

March 24, 2020

As Executive Vice President of Reporting and Consulting, Ray oversees two teams that continue to grow and are leaders in the industry. His philosophy that customer satisfaction and employee recognition are paramount, is one of the driving forces behind this success.

During his tenure overseeing Annual Reporting, Ray’s team has implemented several changes, such as developing an employee growth program, creating an on-boarding team to handle new clients, updating QC procedures, and implementing operational enhancements. Ray has also continued to build Keane’s Data Team that is responsible for data automation and improving efficiency. These improvements have had a significant impact, but as he states, “there is a lot more we can improve, and we will continue to evaluate, adjust, and strive for excellence.”

Keane’s National Consulting & Advisory Services team has reported to Ray for the last two years. He has helped enhance the team with great leadership and experience. Under his guidance, and the direction of the National Practice Leader, Ann Fulmer, the department continues to exceed expectations and to provide excellent service to our customers by assisting holders with all their Unclaimed Property needs (e.g., Policies and Procedures, Risk Assessments, Audit Support, Delaware VDA’s, Risk Reduction, etc.).

Prior to his current role, Ray oversaw two operation teams at Keane, the Mail-Based Location team, and the Mail Operation team (“Mail Ops”). The Mail-Based Location team was responsible for Pre-Escheat Location (“PEL”) and Post-Merger Clean-up (“PMC”) full disclosure outreach. Mail Ops is responsible for outbound and inbound mail for the entire organization. During his tenure in that role, he assisted with the conversion of our PEL system to the current platform, and helped develop our mail tracking and location processing reports.

Before joining Keane, Ray was a senior member of the Unclaimed Property Reporting and Location teams at UPRR for 17 years. Keane acquired UPRR in 2014, and Ray joined Keane’s Executive team. Prior to UPRR, Ray worked at the Bank of New York in the Mutual Funds Group and with First Chicago Trust Company in the Shareholder Services and Finance Departments.

Ray’s attention to detail and his drive for excellence have helped Keane grow and retain customers. He has played an integral part in the development and rollout of the new Keane Unclaimed Property System (“KUPS”). With over 22 years of experience across multiple industries, Ray continues to be an invaluable asset to Keane.

Ray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from The College of Wooster and is a member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO). Ray is a huge fan of female sports because he has coached his daughter in both soccer and basketball. He is also a leader outside of work where he mentors several young men in his community.
